Consider this the next time you reach for the Mylanta or a tumbler of Maker’s Mark.

Nobody knows nothing. Not one pundit you listen to on CNN, MSNBC or FOX has any idea what’s going to happen next on the national stage, or how this presidential election drama is going to play out.

Nobody knows nothing. Everything we’re listening to on political podcasts and broadcast news, every hour of every day, or reading about obsessively on the front pages of the most highly-regarded newspapers, is OPINION. Just babbling, blathering, long-winded, verbose, brain-abrading opinion. No more reliable for political prognostication than your own.

Nobody knows nothing. Expending your energy studying the polls? You have your eyes fixed on Quinnipiac, or placed your trust in the pollsters at ABC/538 or The New York Times/Sienna poll? Worthless. All of them. Need proof—the 2016 election, that’s your proof of the pointlessness of preoccupation with polls.
