Rex Tillerson, who was fired from his job as Secretary of State by President Donald Trump only yesterday, will release a tell-all book as early as next week, sources say.
Titled “The Moron and The Magnate,” the detailed chronicle of Mr. Tillerson’s time in Donald Trump’s cabinet, to be released by HarperCollins, is said to be a brutal takedown of the president and his administration by the former Exxon oil CEO.
The publication of the merciless account just days after his departure on Monday suggests that the former Sec. of State may have had the scathing Trump chronicle written and completed months ago. Mr. Tillerson and Mr. Trump have had a contentious relationship almost from the start, and the Sec. of State has been ridiculed many times by the president, sometimes publicly and often in a humiliating fashion. His dismissal was not unexpected.
The title of the book appears to be a reference to a well-known incident that occurred last July when Mr. Tillerson reportedly called the president a “fucking moron” after a Pentagon meeting. His time on Mr. Trump’s cabinet seemed tenuous after that, although several other cabinet members and administration staffers stepped up to defend Mr. Tillerson, saying that they, too, thought the president was a fucking moron.
“The Moron and the Magnate” is expected to land at #1 on the bestseller lists as soon as it’s released and stay there until the next Trump tell-all book is published by either Omarosa Manigault, Hope Hicks, Steve Bannon, Rence Preibus, Sean Spicer, or any of a number of other bitter exiles from the Trump White House.
