Stacey Dash Reprises Her ‘Clueless’ Role By Running As A Republican In California

The Trump backer hopes to win a congressional seat in Democratic suburb of LA, making her both clueless and mad as a hatter

Stacey Dash, a black actress who co-starred in the 1995 cult classic “Clueless,” and who is a strong supporter of President Donald Trump, is running for Congress as a Republican in California’s 44th District.

An area of largely Democratic suburbs south of LA, with many black and Hispanic residents, the 44th is considered an impossible district from which a Republican can emerge victorious.

This seems to establish Ms. Dash’s bid as not only futile and a stark departure from reality, but also an affirmation that the well-known actress remains clueless.

“In the spirit of Dionne Davenport, the rich, vain, and superficial character in my biggest film, I want to permanently secure my place among wealthy Republicans by running for office under the GOP banner,” said Ms. Dash, 51, in announcing her…
