Stacey Dash Reprises Her ‘Clueless’ Role By Running As A Republican In California

The Trump backer hopes to win a congressional seat in Democratic suburb of LA, making her both clueless and mad as a hatter

Stacey Dash, a black actress who co-starred in the 1995 cult classic “Clueless,” and who is a strong supporter of President Donald Trump, is running for Congress as a Republican in California’s 44th District.

An area of largely Democratic suburbs south of LA, with many black and Hispanic residents, the 44th is considered an impossible district from which a Republican can emerge victorious.

This seems to establish Ms. Dash’s bid as not only futile and a stark departure from reality, but also an affirmation that the well-known actress remains clueless.

“In the spirit of Dionne Davenport, the rich, vain, and superficial character in my biggest film, I want to permanently secure my place among wealthy Republicans by running for office under the GOP banner,” said Ms. Dash, 51, in announcing her candidacy last week. “Even though I know I have no chance of winning, I do believe my candidacy will prove to President Trump that I am an ideal beautiful black woman to replace Omarosa in the White House, giving the administration some semblance of racial balance. I’m greatly looking forward to that appointment by the president.”

There was no comment from the White House about Stacey Dash’s California congressional run, although President Trump did say, “I liked that other actress in Clueless, Alicia Silverstone, very hot. I almost groped her once at the Playboy mansion back in the late 90’s. Great piece of ass, that Alicia, believe me.”
