‘Oppenheimer’ Release In Japan Prompts Public Outcry For Making Of ‘Pearl Harbor 2: Final Hell’
Japanese say two can play at annihilation entertainment game
Responding to public anger over the release of “Oppenheimer” in Japan,
the country’s top movie producer is rushing to make ‘Pearl Harbor 2: Final Hell.’
“This second film promises double the death and destruction of the first surprise attack, where basically no Americans survive,” said Yoshi Ishino, president of Kamikaze Productions. “We’re going to make Oppenheimer’s evil creation look like paper wads in a spitball fight.”
Kamikaze says that plans to film on location in Oahu were scrapped after “the damned and doomed American Navy shot down the idea.” Instead, filming will begin immediately at a Brooklyn Navy Yards warehouse studio where Kamikaze says he hopes “tens of thousands of New York actors will agree to sacrifice life and limb, literally, to heighten the on-screen tension. Japanese audiences love that kind of realism.”
