Hi, Paul. Just so we are clear, I am not only saddened by the events of the past days, months, and year, I am appalled and outraged.

Which is why I am writing political satire aimed at the Orange Accident almost daily.

You think satire and humor is inappropriate in the aftermath of Trump’s many crimes? I don’t agree. And neither do these people:

Satire is, by definition, offensive. It is meant to make us feel uncomfortable. It is meant to make us scratch our heads, think, do a double-take, and then think again. — Maajid Nawaz

Satire is fascinating stuff. It’s deadly serious, and when politics begin to break down, there is a drift towards satire, because it’s the only thing that makes any sense. — Ben Nicholson

When it comes to bullies, satire is the best disinfectant. — Robert Reich

Words are my weapon of choice, Paul, and delivering them in the form of satire is my preferred form of resistance.

So I am acting, even in the face of controversy, aggressive trolls, and religious slurs thrown my way.

How are you acting?

Thanks.
